As the popularity of your financial services firm grows, they need to exchange data with third parties for mutual benefit increases as well. For example, our Sample peer to peer lending application boasts a rich data set of individuals willing to offer small loans to consumers at competitive interest rates. This data could be of value to an e-commerce website to present to their customers upon checkout. Where the customer selects their items, is presented with possible financing options, and then proceeds to checkout. Because it would be inconvenient for every potential e-commerce customer to create an account on our website to check for financing availability, we can expose this information to the e-commerce application via an Application Programming Interface or API.
