Cloud communications
Generally speaking, cloud communications consist of public, internet-based voice and data systems, but also other methods for communication. Telecommunications applications, switching, and storage are hosted by a third-party cloud solution outside of the organization. It's basically delivery of enterprise-level services to help streamline and manage all communication channels. And we have many more communication channels than ever today in our modern networks. We have Voice over IP hosted PBX, cloud-based IP telephony over the internet to make and accept calls. So all services such as voicemail and music on hold will run in the cloud. We have team chat and business SMS solutions, different cloud-based messaging services, SMS, EMS, and MMS for individuals and groups to launch quick conversations, and fast replies and status updates for team communication.
