Another key component of the BCP is your backup and restore policy. Now, the good news is on this exam, this is not like a CompTIA A plus type of thing or server plus. You need to be aware of the fact that this is a key aspect of your datacenter environment. Now, unless the manual and automated backup processes include regular testing or recovery, remember, there are no backups. And organizations who've been victimized by ransomware attacks have unfortunately discovered that. And this is a separate aspect of the BCP or the Continuity of Operations Plan. You have full backups. This is a well-established and timely backup and, of course, a restore process. This is a key ransomware countermeasure today, backing up everything regardless of the archive bit being set or not, and so it clears the archive bit once the full backup completes.
