Key security principles are visibility, accountability, traceability, and that relates to data. Modern tools that we use to get visibility and tracing of data would include security information event monitoring systems or SEIM systems. Those are increasingly more and more popular. We also have Data Activity Monitoring, or DAM. One of the distinctives of DAM is that they're cross-platform, so they can work with different types of database services, both structured query language and document or key value pair databases as well. DAM systems are also transparent, so they should have no impact on throughput or productivity of users who are using that data. We also have endpoint protection, next generation focused on data loss prevention. So visibility and audibility may also be driven by your regulations, for example, with GDPR.
