- [Instructor] When creating migration priorities for application migration to public cloud providers, here are the most important considerations. Evaluate the business impact and criticality of each application that you're considering migrating to the cloud. This means identifying mission-critical applications that are essential for business operations, as we discussed in the last video. Thus, these applications require careful planning to ensure minimal disruption. Understand and map out dependencies between applications, systems, and data. There are many ways to do this, but using discovery tools to assess how applications interact are an easy path these days. Keep in mind that applications with fewer dependencies are typically easier to migrate. However, those with complex interdependencies will need a more coordinated approach to minimize operational disruptions. Classify applications based on complexity of their migration.
