Mix on-premises with public cloud databases and compute services
- A company needs to deploy a new application. However, the data must be located within the existing data center for this application. This is due to a contractual restriction lasting another five years. However, the best development and deployment platform for this application has been found in the public cloud provider. What are your options for building a solution with these requirements? It was decided that the processing would occur in the public cloud provider while the data would remain on premises. This hybrid cloud solution means we have a mix of private and public cloud providers where a single application operates across both. In this case, we keep the data within the private cloud and the application processing on the public cloud. Problem solved.
