- Moving to cloud is your opportunity to look at your technology stack and assess if there is a possibility to modernize your applications. It is also time to assess if you need to migrate the applications as-is to cloud or to replace them with a software-as-a-service version. For example, you may decide to use the SaaS version of Office 365 for scalability and agility instead of using an on-prem version of Office 365 as a result of your apps rationalization exercise. Start by creating an inventory list of all applications and mapping your software portfolio. Next, align these applications with their respective business processes.
