Designing for governance

- Governance is the ability to limit the use of cloud services, data, and even resources, such as money. The idea here is to find the specific requirements that allow you to access and use what governance will be needed, including the types of governance, how things are governed, and how governance systems link to other systems, such as security. There are a few types of governance to be aware of in cloud computing architecture. They include, Cost Governance is the ability to monitor and limit the usage cost of cloud computing. For example, Cost Governance involves monitoring the costs related to cloud storage, including who's using the storage, for what purposes, and how much they are allowed to spend over a predetermined period of time. Resource Governance, or the ability to place limits on the use of resources, such as storage and compute cloud services, for instance, how much storage can be leveraged.
