- [Narrator] Cloud operations is the ability to plan for and carry out all of the processes and tasks needed to continue to run and deploy cloud systems. In the world of cloud computing architecture, this means thinking about how we're going to operate our systems, or systems once deployed. This includes skills likely needed, tools likely needed, processes and playbooks likely needed, improving operations moving forward, and business continuity. Skills planning is important to cloud computing architecture when considering that we're not only looking for what skills are going to be required for successful operations, but also looking at the cost of obtaining and maintaining those skills. Create an inventory of cloud services that need to be operated and then match the skills needed and the number of resources needed to operate those applications, databases, and other cloud-based systems successfully.
