- [Instructor] What's important to remember here is that we're moving through a process where all aspects of the cloud systems are considered including requirements. We're also considering all viable solutions, and doing so with an open mind. Cloud architects often get in trouble when they assume things such as pre-selecting cloud or cloud service before understanding what the requirements are. This is due to bias that we all have, such as working with a specific cloud provider in the past or a specific cloud native service. Some architects rarely are never use a different cloud provider, database and development platform than the one they are comfortable with. Thus, you can count on those solutions being under optimized a great deal of the time since obviously the requirements are going to be very different.
