In this lesson, we're going to talk about Microsoft Azure, which is another cloud instance or service provider, very similar to Amazon AWS. Let's dive into it a little bit. We're going to cover this from a compute and storage perspective as well, just like all of these, and this gives you an idea of how to compare them between the two. From a compute perspective in Azure, there's something called AVM. That would be an Azure Virtual Machine or AVM, which is really just a virtual machine. It's a virtual server that's running in Azure Cloud. However, because everything is aptly named after the provider, it is an Azure Virtual Machine. The other thing is that we have very similar to AWS, this concept of Azure Functions, which is again that serverless event-driven compute service that we were talking about from even in the Amazon side, where you have event-driven things like mouse clicks or what have you, that would drive some sort of a function, similar to AWS as well.
