Welcome to Lesson 1, Cloud and Virtualization Essentials. We're going to cover all kinds of different technologies here in this one, and the being is that we're going to talk about cloud service platforms like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, as well as Google's Cloud Platform or GCP. Then we're going to talk about what a virtual machine is and why they are used so frequently, and what a hypervisor is in a server or a customer environment. Then, when we're talking about Cloud, it's important to understand when you escalate to different teams and what those appropriate teams are. Because it may not be somebody internal to your organization, it might be somebody that you have to reach out to, some service provider that might be supporting your Cloud instance. It's always good to know when you have an issue where your upline is or where your escalation path is in case something goes wrong. That and more. Let's begin.
