DNS groups

DNS groups

- [Instructor] DNS groups allows us to set up DNS resolution for our Cisco firewall. And we can set up a group of different DNS servers that can do that resolution for us. Now there's already a built-in DNS group that's being used, but you can edit that group, or you can create a new group altogether. So I'm going to start out by going over to objects and click on DNS Groups. And we can see this default DNS group that's here. I did not create this group. It was automatically there. And you can see three different DNS servers. Two our IPV4, and one is IPV6. You can also see a domain search name. So domain search name would be if you had a specific domain name that you wanted to enter here, and it was being hosted by specific DNS servers. So it's only going to look for that particular search name using those DNS IP addresses. In most cases, that's just not necessary. Retries would be if you had a timeout waiting for…
