- [Instructor] To reduce the risk to information assets, an organization starts with a well-defined security plan in line with the organization's security objectives. The security team creates policies to execute and enforce the plan. Technical, operational and management, security strategies, or controls oversee adhering to the policies. Management uses administrative techniques and deals with planning, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing. Operational includes the day-to-day operations such as physical and environmental protection, awareness and training. Technical controls use technology and deals with access control, audit and accountability and malware prevention. When developing security strategies, it's important to understand several terms, assets, risks, threats, and vulnerabilities. Organizations seek to protect assets, which are tangible and intangible items that an organization assigns a value.…
