- [Instructor] We now want to take a survey of some cloud-delivered security solutions, specifically Cisco solutions. Let's start here with Cisco Umbrella. We'll examine this solution closer in a later session, but, for now, let's talk about the general operation of this cloud-based security solution. Cisco Umbrella evolved from Cisco's acquisition of OpenDNS, and this solution helps prevent unintentionally accessing phishing and malware sites. It can be used also as an internet filter by organizations, allowing you to select which websites users have access to. So, for example, you could filter out social media sites on the corporate network. When using a DNS server, DNS queries can be forwarded to the Umbrella cloud. There's also a roaming client that can be installed on Windows or macOS to point the client specifically to DNS settings in this cloud.
