CUCM call control
- [Instructor] The main topic we'll explore in this module is cal control. And that has a lot to do with digit manipulation. Specifically, we'll begin by talking about the theory of call control, and then we'll get into its configuration. And when we talk about call control, that might involve manipulating a dialed number, and it might also mean manipulating incoming caller ID information. As one example, let's say that I have to dial a nine to get an outside line and place a call out to the PSTN, when I dial a nine, I get that secondary dial tone, and then I dial the number that's then ratable on the PSTN, well, when my call goes out to the PSTN, I probably don't want to include that nine. That was just for my local Cisco Unified communications manager to see that, oh yeah, Kevin's calling an outside line. So we might want to strip that off. That's a basic example of digit manipulation. So join me in our next video, if you would, as we take a look at call control theory.
