- [Instructor] And presented with an opportunity to take a tour of the desktop, if you'd like to do that, click take tour. But in my case, I'll click no thanks. Like most of the distributions we've explored so far, Fedora uses the GNOME desktop by default. So let's take a look around. The Fedora implementation of GNOME, starts in the app switcher or dashboard environment. And to get to my desktop, I can click on one of the workspaces here in the middle of the screen. Unlike with some other distros this version of GNOME, doesn't let you keep files and directories on your desktop, but that can be enabled with GNOME the extension available for free from the extension store on the web at extension.gnome.org. You can visit that in Firefox or in your favorite browser. There are many other interesting extensions for the GNOME desktop available there too. And you can further customize the desktop by installing the GNOME Tweaks app…
