- [Instructor] Business problem framing focuses on what users want. It doesn't address how to satisfy user requirements, which is what data analytics professionals need to solve the business problem. The good news is that, there are multiple techniques available to help with the process of framing, analytics problems out of business problem statements. One such technique is Quality Function Deployment or QFD. It's a method of transforming qualitative user requirements into quantitative subsystems and components. The keywords here are, qualitative and quantitative. Without this transition from qualitative to quantitative, it's impossible to formulate a viable analytics problem. Let's say that key stakeholders want more security in a product like a mobile phone. A way to quantify security in this example is to introduce authentication mechanisms like passwords, and Personal Identification Number or PIN.…
