Organizations that transition directly from business requirements to technical solutions often struggle with technology that genuinely fails to support their business objectives. As a result, they find that they're bending to the technology in their actions, rather than the technology supporting the necessary business actions. Architecture is an important thing to do that many organizations actually leave out. It means taking a strategic and technology-agnostic approach to how you will do things. So, before you're actually thinking of the technology that you want to implement, you're first considering what the approach of using that technology should be. Then comes the design. This is where organizations typically jump into directly without considering architecture.
