- [Instructor] The identity and access domain accounts for four questions on the exam. We'll begin with looking at some differences that IAM makes in the cloud. As we move towards the future, discussing the differences between on-premises and cloud solutions will become less relevant. However, more cloud service customers come from an on-prem environment or still utilize one. So managing IAM in the cloud compared to on-premises is different in the following ways. The first is the SSRM or the shared responsibility model. The cloud consolidation of administrative interfaces is another change. There is an exposure of those interfaces to the internet with cloud. IAM can span multiple organizations in the cloud as well, and cloud providers utilize various identity and access management systems with distinct technologies, architectures, and terminologies.
