- [Instructor] Next, we're going to take a look at cloud security and the scope and responsibilities as they are associated with the model that you're consuming. The cloud can be thought of as a large apartment building, and in this building, all the common spaces like the lobby, the elevator, the shared spaces like the gym, that would fall into the responsibility of the building owner. But each of the tenants are responsible for the security within their apartment. Similarly, the CSP manages the security of the cloud infrastructure while the cloud service customer oversees the security of deployment within the cloud. This is known as the cloud shared responsibility model. There will be a varying of the responsibility as there is a shift in what's consumed in the SaaS, PaaS or infrastructure level.
