- [Instructor] After you've installed and shared a printer and verified that the applicable sharing settings are enabled on your local machine, you can now begin the process of applying permissions to the users and groups on your network. To access these settings locate the printer from Start, Settings, Bluetooth and devices, and then Printers and scanners. Click the printer and then click printer properties. We'll look at two tabs here, sharing and security. This is a sharing tab. Click this tab first and verify the printer is shared. Other than changing the names, there's not much more you can do here with the default settings configured in Windows. Now click the security tab, click administrators and review the permissions set for this group. Notice there are four. Print, manage this printer, manage documents and special permissions. With a print permission, a user can connect to a printer and send documents to it.…
