You have noticed a theme here, but it bears repeating. Conducting a DMAIC project and taking these exams are very different things. You will be asked to do manual calculations. You will be asked to identify definitions. You will have some kind of reference. However, the difficulty can be the time constraint. Looking up every one of the four multiple choice options will simply take too long. So you need to know the definitions and recognize the formulas quickly.
