- [Instructor] In this movie, we'll look at the process of exporting layouts to screen formats, like interactive PDF and EPUB. First, let's talk about PDF's first screen. Interactive PDFs offer support for features like hyperlinks and cross-references. You can create buttons that people can use to navigate and to show or hide content. You can add forms and add audio and video and elements like tables of contents and indexes can also be interactive. There are two main downsides to interactive PDF for digital publications. The first is that support for interactive features and media are inconsistent on mobile devices, so things like buttons and video might work fine on a computer, but not at all on a mobile device. The other main downside is that PDF is a fixed-layout format. A PDF is not responsive, so it can't adapt to a different screen size or orientation.
