AI-based social engineering attacks
(ambient music) - [Instructor] Another type of social engineering attack we're seeing a lot of these days is doing social engineering with generative AI or artificial intelligence. And generative AI, it's going to be able to take some sort of input, like a prompt, and from that it can create text or audio or video, and the output can be difficult to distinguish between what GenAI created and what a human would create. For example, let's say that we have a malicious user that's wanting to use social engineering to trick somebody within a company into wiring them money. And maybe they get on social media to learn the organizational structure of this company. Maybe they've seen a presentation by the CEO and they're able to use that presentation to train AI to use the CEO's voice.
