- Finding your next job can feel like a full-time job in and of itself. So it's really important that you be strategic and thoughtful about how you spend your time on the job search. It feels like there's an endless amount of work you can do in the job search. So, to set yourself up for success, you want to create a repeatable job search routine, a repeatable pattern of the tasks you might do every single week to help move your job search forward. A few best practices to keep in mind include first, batching your tasks. This means doing similar kinds of job search activities at similar times every week. So instead of constantly having multiple tabs open in your browsers, always looking at the job boards, perhaps you focus on scouring each job board just one or two days a week, maybe just Mondays and Tuesdays.
