- Innovation is a team sport, and team members need to be willing to share, be open to unproven ideas, and challenge each other in a way that involves taking personal risks. This willingness for teams to take personal risks is what Harvard Business School professor, Amy Edmondson, calls psychological safety. And it's identified by Google and other companies as the number one factor of successful team performance.
