- Our jobs as sales professionals isn't getting any easier. In fact, the marketplace is more competitive than ever. Our companies are running their businesses leaner so it's rare to find excess resources to support us. And management is moving faster to reorganize or redeploy staff when the numbers aren't reaching the targets. We need to be on top of our game, having our buyers focused on the solutions we're providing with a product or service, and our companies must view us in the highest regard. The perception that customers and colleagues have of us must never be tainted by poor ethics or codes of conduct. As salespeople, we always want to be offering the best product or service at the most attractive price. However, those features will mean little if we're not respected by our accounts and colleagues.
