What is the modern workplace?
- [Instructor] When I talk about the modern workplace, what do I mean? What sets it apart from the past? Is it the tools that we work with or the way that we work or both? Well, let's try and define this. Now my personal opinion is that the modern workplace is defined by the methods, the tools, and when and where we work. To me, methods are the business frameworks we use to organize and direct work. Things like applying agile methodologies to a broader range of business activities or evolving from distinct development, and operations to a mixed DevOps environment are examples of this. When I talk about tools, I'm talking about an assortment of software and hardware. To me, it's not just the big collaborative platforms like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, or even various communication and sharing tools.
