- I often hear leaders describe what a BA does as an agent of change. And yes, everything BAs do is about helping an organization make a change. As BAs, we are agents of change that see the current state and the desired future state and we help teams make this transition. This means we need to understand change management and how the changes we're working on impact various people and user groups, from large complex projects to supporting or fixing something about an existing solution. No matter what the size of the change is, change is hard for people and helping them through the change uses special skills. Change management is about how we support and guide those impacted by changes. Changes to processes, systems, and procedures are not easy for those impacted to adapt to.
