- Tracing and monitoring delivery of requirements are really all about making sure the end product has been tested, verified, validated and accepted by the stakeholder or customer. But let's talk about how that looks on a more tactical level. This way you can decide how best to support the process as the PM. As the development of the requirements are done by the delivery team, the role of the BA starts to take on more meaning. The PM monitors the testing and verification activities while the BA is deeply involved in these tests. They might begin with epics. These are broader than user stories. Often the BA will assist in decomposing them into smaller user stories. Here's what an epic might sound like. "As a potential event planner, I want to book a convention so that we can hold an upcoming event. The acceptance criteria is receiving a confirmation code for the reservation."
