- [Instructor] In our daily activities, we encounter technology officially designated by treaties and governmental arrangements as dual use goods. Dual use signifies something that can be used in both a civilian and military context. For instance, a missile can be used in both scientific exploration and military applications. The Wassenaar Arrangement included 42 countries that have voluntarily agreed to help maintain export control of where dual use products can be sent. At the 14th annual conference of the Wassenaar Arrangement held in 2019, AI was among several rapidly evolving technologies. They named part of future focus. AI has all the markers of dual use technology. The ISO 24028 document considers four primary factors of human computer interaction that could be fraught with danger. They include automation when automation helps to achieve a goal, misuse when there is overreliance on automation, disuse when there is under reliance of automation, and abuse when the system doesn't…
