Introducing Proxmox and deploying VMs and containers
- So I've been mentioning Proxmox throughout the course, but I haven't introduced it really, right? So what you're seeing in the screen is actually Proxmox. It's a virtualized environment that is extensible. It can scale very, very well. And as a matter of fact, I have a cluster of different machines, bare metal machines, that I'm going to go over in a few seconds. But if you compare these to things like VMware, this allows you to deploy a very scalable environment at home or at work that is free. Now you have different options for support that there are subscription options that we'll we'll cover in a second, but you can actually deploy these for free in your home. As a matter of fact, that's what I do here. As you can tell, I'm a Proxmox fanboy because one not only it's free, but it's actually very, very powerful.
