Despite what some people may believe, the true key to resilience is not strength, it's adaptability. Charles Darwin talked about the survival of the fittest, but really what he was talking about is survival of the most adaptable. The most successful people are the ones who can change with a changing environment. Mental agility is the ability to think quickly and flexibly. Agile people can see things from multiple angles, and they're open to new ideas and perspectives, even when those new ideas challenge their existing beliefs. This flexibility in the way you think will make you a better and more realistic problem solver. I want you to pause for a second and assess your own adaptability and agility. On a scale from 1 to 5, how ready are you for changes that may come your way, how well do you tolerate uncertainty and how open are you to changing your mind?
