- How many times have you looked up from your phone and realized you'd been scrolling the newsfeed for too long? We'd never plan our days to scroll for hours, and yet often that's what happens when we're not proactive with our habits. Being in control of our technology is incredibly empowering. We can do this by planning our digital use. The easiest thing to do is to start small, starting with our morning routines. Do you pick up your phone straight away when you wake up? Research from Harvard has shown that the first hour of our day sets the framework for the rest of our day. Many of us usually check the news or work emails, and that ends up setting a negative mindset for our day. It would be much better to limit screen time for the first hour and stay off technology altogether.
