From the course: Building an Ecommerce Website with WordPress

What you should know

- This course is for you if you are familiar with the basics of WordPress and website hosting. You might already have a site onto which you're going to add a store, or if you have experience logging into and editing a WordPress site. For example, you should know how to create pages and posts and how to install plugins. This course is for you if you are ready with content for a store. You can take this course without products ready to sell, but ideally, you'll be able to follow along and populate your store with content about the products as we go on. And this course is for you if you have a bank account that you can connect to your payment processor. We'll be going over how to choose and test payment processors, and in order to use them to process real payments, you'll require an active bank account. This course is a time investment. In order to help make this information easy for you to digest and revisit, I've included checklists that you can use at the ends of chapters 3, 5, 6, 7, and 9. Download them all and reference them at the end of their respective chapters or if you decide to build another store after you're done with this course.
