Testing emails
- [Instructor] Before launching an e-commerce store, you should test your emails to ensure that they work. The process to do this is similar to testing payments, but it's actually a little bit simpler. Most of these tools utilize a setting called test mode, which allows you to place an order without contacting the payment processor and triggering all of the actions that your site would perform if a real order was put through. Keep in mind that using test mode means no one else can place real orders either, and you must remember to disable test mode when you're done in order to start taking real orders again. To test your emails, use the same methods we discussed in the previous video using test mode. Once that order goes through, you'll be able to observe how the emails behaved. Using test mode is great here because you can perform as many tests as you like without triggering any other systems, aside from these automated ones…
