- [Instructor] Once you've chosen your theme, you can either install it through the WordPress directory by choosing install, and then activate once the installation is complete, or you can download it by choosing add new, upload theme, and then uploading the theme files from the third party site from which you bought it. Either way, once it's active, you can begin customizing it in one of a few ways. Many themes will have customizer options, which you can find by going to appearance, and then customizer. Some expensive or premium themes will have their own unique page that you can look for in the WordPress dashboard. It's important to customize things like your logo, your header, footer, and your font styles. All of this will help build the brand identity for your site.
