Language and accessibility support in Copilot

Microsoft Copilot is a multilingual AI companion designed to break down language barriers and make access to information easier across the globe. It currently supports an experience in several languages including simplified Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Brazilian, Portuguese, and Spanish. If you encounter an error message indicating that a language isn't supported while using CoPilot, it may come as a surprise, particularly if Bing UI is available in your language. This can happen because language support for CoPilot doesn't extend as far as Bing's language support quite yet. To adjust language settings in Microsoft CoPilot, click the icon at the top right corner. In the Settings menu, navigate to Language to set your preferred language for Bing. Here you can also set the language you want Copilot to use for search results and responses. It's important to note that Copilot currently only accepts prompts in the languages previously mentioned. If you submit a prompt in an unsupported language, Copilot will notify you with an error message. Aside from languages, Copilot was built with accessibility in mind. CoPilot Voice is a feature that brings ease and efficiency to your conversations. It's perfect for those moments when typing isn't the best option, or for users who find speech more accessible than text. So let's look at how to access CoPilot Voice. First, open CoPilot on your device. Then, click the microphone icon and speak into your device. CoPilot will then listen and respond, all in real time. Visual Search is another feature that empowers you to explore and understand the world around you. Whether you're curious about a mysterious plant in your garden or the species of a bird perched outside your window, Visual Search is there to assist. With a simple image, Copilot becomes your guide, transforming images into knowledge. Here's how it works. With Copilot open on your device, tap the camera icon and either upload an image or snap a new one. Next, start a conversation about your image. Once you're done, click the Submit icon. Copilot then analyzes the image and provides insights based on your inquiry. These features help pave the way to a future where knowledge knows no bounds and learning is within everyone's reach.
