- Early in my career, I was very fortunate to have a boss who invested in me by giving me chances to shine. He gave me access to training opportunities, projects to work on that I was passionate about, and opportunities to showcase my work to important people in our company. One time when he was scheduled to present to the company's most senior leaders, he chose to step aside and give me a shot. I never forgot that moment. Think back to a time when somebody gave you the opportunity to shine and grow. Remember what that felt like? One of the most important things you can do to build a trustworthy reputation is look for ways to help others shine and feel that way about you. Here are five simple ways you can do that.
