- There's an old adage that goes something like, "The two most important days of a person's life are the day they're born and the day they find out why." If you've ever wanted more meaning in your life, you're not alone. I was fortunate to discover early in my career that my purpose comes from being a great change agent and help others become change agents too. If you want to develop a reputation for being trustworthy, it's important that others perceive you as having a strong sense of purpose. I'm going to give you three things you can do to discover a deeper sense of purpose. First, you have to know your story. That means knowing when you're at your best. What do you look back on as your greatest accomplishments? When is your work giving you the greatest sense of joy? Here's what I want you to do.
