- How's your mattress? No, seriously. Think about it. When your mattress starts sagging, or leaves you tossing and turning all night, you know it's time for a change. Then you go to the mattress store, test out different options, adjust the firmness, and if it no longer supports you years later, you upgrade it again. It's an ongoing process because ignoring a bad mattress only leads to back pain and exhaustion. Your time management system works the same way. If it's leaving you stressed, unsatisfied, constantly behind or drained, it's a clear sign to make adjustments. The key is noticing those aches and pains, and making time to fix them. This is the most important lesson here. You need to make time to make time. Time management is never one and done. It should evolve with your life and responsibilities.
