- [Instructor] Once the setup is complete, I can switch to my regular computer and open up the web browser. I'll browse to the Proxmox servers address using https. In my case, that's https://pve-01.homelab.internal:8006. or I could use the IP address that was displayed earlier. Here in my browser, I'm warned that there could be a security risk. That's because the Proxmox server doesn't have a valid certificate and it's using a self-signed one. That's fine for our lab purposes, but in production, we'd want to get or generate a trusted certificate for this host. To move past this warning, I'll click show details and then I'll click visit website. Other browsers may have a different method of accepting the risk and viewing the site. Then I'll log in as the root user and I'll use the password I set during the setup. I'm prompted about a subscription and I can learn more about that if I'd like to. I'll click OK.
