Connect WooCommerce payments

To have a true e-commerce store, you need to be able to accept payment online. Being able to take payment turns your website from a catalog into a real store. If you went through the welcome wizard, you will likely see payments in your Admin menu. This is WooCommerce's white labeled version of Stripe. If you're sure about using WooCommerce, go ahead and sign up for Woo Payments. They do a great job bringing in all of your payment transaction details and settings into your WooCommerce site. If you're not sure about using WooCommerce or if you plan to use multiple e-commerce platforms, that's when I recommend setting up Stripe. It has all of the same technology, but all of the records and settings are stored in stripe.com. You can refer back to Determined Shipping and Payment Details in Chapter 1 to see how we set up our Stripe account. For our store, I'm going to set up Stripe.
