Setting up a local iMac install
While you can install OpenClaw in a few different ways, it's a good idea to use a dedicated machine that is always on and is very energy efficient. A dedicated machine will do things that no VPS installation would be able to do. It has access to anything that's on that machine, and it can behave as close to a real human as possible, controlling regular applications, writing software, and performing work as a real individual. All that power comes with a lot of danger. Since a machine can do a lot of good, it can also cause massive amounts of damage at scale. A lot of people like using iMacs because they're extremely power efficient, very small, and super stable. they integrate into existing services and have fast graphic cards that with enough memory are capable of running some open source models locally for free.
