- There is no denying the power and influence of social media for business today. For many customers, the first point of discovery and impression is social media. So we certainly want to make it count. Some brands dominate with their social media strategy, while others are struggling and falling behind, hurting their brand reputation. The best thing we can do to strengthen a brand's first impression is to take advantage of the prime real estate and key features on each social media channel. Each channel has what I call prime real estate. This is the bio section on each channel that allows for you to showcase your brand identity and share the most important information. Think who, what, where, when, why, and how. View your social media profile as an elevator pitch or business card.
