- [Instructor] Imagine having a character crossing multiple scenes and you wanted to just change one little thing and have that effect everything at once. In the previous versions of Blender, you would use a technique called make proxy, but starting with Blender 281 and beyond, there's a brand new system and it's called library overwrites. Now I'm going to show it to you today in Blender 282 at the time of this recording. However, just know that this system, while new, is still very experimental. Ultimately though, it will replace the make proxy system. Okay, now before we begin we actually need to have a character to link into another scene. So let's go ahead and delete this cube, shift + A, and add ourselves a monkey. Shift + A again and let's go ahead and add an armature. We can zoom in, Z, and go to wire frame.
