- [David] I had a client job a few weeks ago, and it created a really interesting problem I found a way to solve. Let's pretend that you had a ghost-like character. Had a like a ghost-like material so that way you could see the background right through them. The problem is if that ghost character turned to the side, you'd be able to see the opposite side's arm through it, creating this weird self-overlapping effect that he didn't want. Well, with a little bit of Blender node trickery, I found a way to fix it. Let me show you. It'll help to demonstrate the problem first. So let's go ahead and delete this light and delete this cube by hitting X, then shift A and add ourselves a monkey, and shift A and add ourselves an area light. And I'm going to move that area light over here, and put it right in front of that monkey, just rotate it and we'll make that area light 100 W, 100 watts. Next, let's switch ourselves to…
