Data transfer for porting character rigs

- In this week's "Blender: Tips, Tricks and Techniques," I want to talk about the problem we run into when we have multiple characters, but one character rig. Let's say you perfected the weights on one character and it looks great but you have all these other character shapes. They have different topology, different looks and you just want to transfer the weights from one to another. Can you do that? Well, with a new modifier called Data Transfer you absolutely can. Let me show you. Let's delete this cube and you know what, for good measure, let's get rid of the camera and the light cause we won't need them for this. Now go ahead and add yourself a standard monkey. Looks pretty good. Shift+D to move it over here. Let's go to Modifiers and let's Remesh this monkey, just so we can change it, so it looks a little differently and let's pull out our Modifier panel a bit.
