Blender physics 101: Particle smoke

- [Instructor] Sometimes when you're using smoke inside a blender, you need more control. You can use forces to shape your smoke but sometimes you really need a lot of control to navigate and move the smoke around and go in specific ways. That's where generating smoke from particles can be really, really handy. Let me show you. We actually need to generate a really simple particle simulation, so remove the queue, Shift + A, add a plane and let's just rotate this plane, doesn't matter how, R, R. Click on the particles tab right here, open it up, add some new particles, open velocity and kick it up a notch. Put that normal to say two. And if I start playing, you can see the particles are coming out of there. Maybe if I rotate it, there we go. Come out this way. And you can kick this up even higher, let's say to ten. Let's make your particles last awhile. I'm going to type in 200. And they should be generating the whole…
